Editorial: Muscogee Nation boosts economy with casino project

Newspaper welcomes the $335 million expansion of a casino owned by the Muscogee Nation in Oklahoma:
Before they even got it started, the Creek Nation has upped the ante on its casino overhaul on the Arkansas River.

The tribe held a ceremonial groundbreaking Tuesday for the major reworking of its already substantial River Spirit Casino on Riverside Drive.

The revised expansion will still use the Margaritaville brand that was previously announced, but will include a considerably larger hotel tower and a bigger price tag.

The new hotel tower will be 26 stories with 483 rooms. Additional amenities will include a spa, showroom theater and several new restaurants, including Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurant and casino and a "5 O'Clock Somewhere" bar.

The cost: $335 million, which will mean a welcome economic stimulus to the area.
