MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians won't face charges for casino

Leaders of the MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians won't face charges for a gaming facility that was shut down by Mobile County, Alabama.

The tribe acquired about 50 electronic gaming machines for the Choctaw Entertainment Center. But the county sheriff shut down the facility before it even opened.

“This is pretty much the way they left it,” Chief Framon Weaver told ALLive.Com, referring to the now-empty building.

Sheriff Sam Cochran said he won't pursue charges against tribal leaders but he's asking a judge to order the machines to be destroyed.
