The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will meet tomorrow to hear public presentations from three commercial casino hopefuls.

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is bidding on the license for the eastern region of the state. The $1 billion Suffolk Downs will be put to voters in Revere on February 25.

If voters approve, the tribe will compete against Wynn Resorts. The firm has already won local approval in Everett.

On the western side of the state, only MGM Resorts International remains in the running. The Mohegans were knocked out by a referendum in Palmer.

The commission will award the licenses for for both regions early this year.
