Coushatta Tribe reopens casino after blaze prompts evacuation

The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana reopened its casino on Sunday morning after an electrical fire on Saturday night prompted an evacuation.

The tribe said the fire at the Coushatta Casino Resort was small and was concentrated in a small electrical box. But the facility was evacuated out of concern for guests.

"There was a small electrical fire that cut power to over half the casino. As a precaution we evacuated the casino. Our hotel guests have full power," the tribe said on Facebook.

Most of the casino was back up and running although some areas were closed on Sunday.
