The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is being asked to turn over any documents related to the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut.

The tribe originally sought a commercial casino in the western part of the state. After voters rejected the project in a referendum, the tribe turned to the eastern region and won local approval for the $1.3 billion Mohegan Sun Massachusetts.

The owners of the site in eastern Massachusetts, however, say the tribe broke an exclusivity agreement. The documents from the commission could help prove the argument.

The tribe and the commission aren't commenting on the litigation, which was filed in state court.
