Cherokee Nation to break ground on new hotel with casino

The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma will break ground on a new casino and hotel.

The tribe is building an entirely new facility in Roland. The 170,000-square-foot facility will offer 850 electronic games, table games, a high-limit room, a cafe, a buffet, an entertainment venue, a 120-room hotel and convention space, according to a press release.

Groundbreaking will take place April 29. A date for completion was not reported.

The facility is about 6 miles from the Arkansas border.
