Florida lawmakers are trying to find out more information about Class III gaming compact negotiations between the Seminole Tribe and Gov. Rick Scott (R). The tribe and the state are reportedly close to a new deal. But lawmakers, particularly Democrats, feel left out of the loop and are balking at a special session to consider the compact. “If were are not involved in any of the discussions the likelihood of us going along is very slim,’’ Rep. Jim Waldman (D) told The Tampa Bay Times. “It would be silly for us to agree to a special session now when they aren’t going to present it to us and keep us in the loop.’’ The compact is expected to address revenue sharing and exclusivity issues.
