The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is looking to cut $13 million from its gaming operation amid a decline in revenue and profit. The tribe isn't planning layoffs at the Mohegan Sun, an Indian gaming facility on its reservation in Connecticut, or the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, commercial facility in Pennsylvania. But there will be some changes in other areas of the enterprise. “The winter’s been horrible,” Mitchell Etess, the chief executive of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, said during a conference call, The New London Day reported. “Our results for the quarter were mixed.” In related news, the authority said a debt offer was not accepted by an April 30 deadline, according to a press release.
