The Oneida Nation sent its first gaming revenue payment of $3.96 million million to New York.

The tribe agreed to share 25 percent of slot machine revenues as part of a global settlement [PDF] with the state. The first payment covers March 4 to March 31 -- the agreement was approved by a federal judge on March 4.

The tribe has an existing Class III gaming compact. However, an amended version with revenue sharing provisions doesn't appear to have been submitted to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
