The Tigua Tribe is opposing a request by the state of Texas to videotape a sweepstakes operation.

Taping the Speaking Rock Entertainment Center would be "extremely intrusive" and "disruptive," the tribe said in court papers, KVIA reported. But the state claims it needs to observe the sweepstakes machines to determine whether they are legal.

The request is before Judge Kathleen Cardone, who has rejected the state's request to hold the tribe in contempt. The next hearing in the case takes place in October, KVIA reported.
