The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut reported a 10.5 percent decline in slot machine revenues for the month of April.

Foxwoods Resort Casino took in $39.8 million, the tribe said in a press release. That's down from $44.5 million in April 2013.

The report came after the tribe said it would be shutting down some table games and some slot machines in a portion of the casino during early weekday hours, from 4am to 9am, Monday through Friday. The tribe also plans to address staffing levels, an indication of potential layoffs.
