The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska will be in court today to seek a role in a commercial gaming lawsuit in Iowa. The tribe proposed a $122 million commercial casino in downtown Sioux City. The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission went with another developer, prompting a lawsuit from one of the jilted parties. The tribe is now seeking to join the proceedings. Arguments will be heard this afternoon in Des Moines. "In this case, we're a sideshow, but our interests are important to us," Ho-Chunk Inc. President and CEO Lance Morgan told The Sioux City Journal. "We think we have a right to participate. We'll find out if anyone agrees with us Friday." Get the Story:
