The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians will start tearing down the hotel at its casino in downtown Palm Springs, California, after it closes in July.

The process will take 15 to 18 months, the tribe said. The Spa Resort Casino won't be affected by the closure of the hotel.

The tribe hasn't decided what to do with the space once the hotel is removed.
