Ernie Stevens joins American Gaming Association Hall of Fame

Ernie Stevens Jr., the chairman of the National Indian Gaming Association, is joining the American Gaming Association's Hall of Fame.

Stevens is a member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin. He was selected for his work to advance the $28 billion tribal gaming industry.

"He has worked on behalf NIGA members to inform and educate government leaders on the most pressing issues that affect the economic, social and political lives of Indian people," the AGA said in a press release.

The induction ceremony will be held September 29 during the annual Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas. Stevens is a frequent presenter at the conference.
