The Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma is moving forward with a $335 million casino expansion project.

The tribe finally secured a key permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The wait had delayed construction on a 26-story hotel at the River Spirit Casino and food and entertainment venues in partnership with Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville brand.

“Waiting to sign the 404 permit has been long and tedious, but it’s something we had to endure,” Chief George Tiger said in a press release.

The tribe anticipates an opening sometime in 2016.
