The Coeur d'Alene Tribe of Idaho led a prostitution sting that resulted in the arrests of nine people at the casino on the reservation.

Management at the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel noticed the problem and alerted tribal police. The tribe then enlisted local and federal law enforcement in conducting the sting last week.

In addition to the arrests of eight women and one man, the investigation deterred illegal activity at the casino. Posts on social media warned of the police presence, according to a press release from the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.

According to the press release, the people who were arrested ranged in ages from 18 to 46 and are from Idaho and Washington.
