Two former employees of a casino owned by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma pleaded guilty to theft this week.

Steven Kyle Dudley, 21, admitted he stole more than $1,000 from the Choctaw Casino and Resort in Durant. Crystal Deann Airington, 40, pleaded to the same charge.

Dudley pleaded guilty on Monday. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, his thefts occurred between July 8 and July 21 in 2013.

Airington admitted to her charge on Tuesday. Her crime occurred over a nearly year-long period in 2012, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

The nature of the thefts was not disclosed by the U.S. Attorney's Office or in court documents for either defendant. The cases were filed at the same time last month but it's not clear if they are connected in any way.

"The charges arose from an investigation by the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation," the U.S. Attorney's Office stated in regards to both defendants.
