Mississippi Choctaws begin search for new gaming executive

The top gaming executive for the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians is leaving later this month.

Holly Gagnon served for three years as the chief executive officer for the Pearl River Resort. She helped reopen the Golden Moon Hotel and Casino and earlier this year.

"We appreciate Ms. Gagnon's dedication to Pearl River Resort for the last three years and wish her well in her future endeavors," Chief Phyllis Anderson said in a press release.

Gagnon is leaving on September 22. The Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise said it will name an acting CEO as it looks for a new leader.
