A police officer was fired after making racist comments during an incident at the casino owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut, The Harford Courant reports.

The exact comments were not reported. But the paper said former Hartford officer Kamil Stachowicz made a "series of insulting and racial comments to police and security staff" at Foxwoods Resort Casino in February. He had been intoxicated at the time.

Stachowicz was fired last month, the paper said.
