St. Regis Mohawk Tribe announces general manager for casino

The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe of New York has a new general manager for its casino.

Shannon Keel comes to the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino and Resort with more than 10 years of senior-level casino resort management experience. Chief Ron LaFrance said. She has worked for casinos, hotels and resorts in Nevada and Illinois.

"Her extensive knowledge of financial analysis and marketing strategies, coupled with superior guest relations and hotel operations, made her an ideal candidate for General Manager," LaFrance said in a press release. "Her accomplishments as a gaming and hotel executive placed her in the top three out of 65 individuals that applied for the position from across the country,"
