Man charged for shooting at Forest County Potawatomi Tribe's casino

A 38-year-old man is facing numerous charges in connection with a shooting at the casino owned by the Forest County Potawatomi Tribe of Wisconsin.

Terrill Thomas is accused of firing a gun at the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino in Milwaukee last Friday. He's charged with with two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety-use of a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and theft-use of a dangerous weapon.

During the course of the shooting, authorities said he picked up $4,825 in gaming chips that apparently didn't belong go him. The incident occurred in a high-stakes area of the casino, Fox6 News reported.

Thomas also has been charged in connection with another shooting a day before the casino incident, according to news reports. His mother told Fox6 News that he had been upset about the recent theft of his vehicle.

No one was hurt by the shooting but some patrons suffered minor injuries while trying to leave the gaming floor.
