Three employees of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians in California are being credited with saving the life of a long-time casino patron.

Cecil Spooner has been going to the Morongo Casino Resort for more than 20 years. He'll be able to keep doing that thanks to the actions of emergency medical technician Keith Donahoo and security officers Angela Wilson-Markas and Michelle Perez.

“No words can express what they did for me,” Spooner said in a press release quoted by The Riverside Press-Enterprise. “They saved my life.”

The employees resuscitated Cecil Spooner twice after he suffered a heart attack at the facility, the paper said. He returned to the casino to thank them during National EMS Week.

The tribe keeps an emergency medical technician team at the casino at all times.
