Keweenaw Bay Indian Community schedules vote on casino plans

The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community of Michigan is asking members to vote on casino renovation plans.

The tribe wants to spend $33.5 million on renovations at the Ojibwa Casino in Marquette, The Houghton Daily Mining Gazette reported. Another $6.5 million would be spent on the facility in Baraga.

The issue will be put to voters on August 13.
