The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is assuring the public that its southern California casino remains safe after an officer-involved shooting.

Two car theft suspects were shot in a parking structure at the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino on Wednesday night, ABC7 reported. They were transported to a hospital but no further information is available from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department at this time.

"The Tribe and Casino do our utmost to ensure that our patrons and employees are in a safe environment when they visit the community and we are working with the Sheriff's Office tonight as well," a statement provided to ABC7 read. The casino remained open throughout the incident, the station reported.

The sheriff's department said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
