Chehalis Tribe promotes longtime employee as chief executive at casino

The Chehalis Tribe announced Lisa Miles as the new chief executive officer at its casino in Washington.

Miles first started working at the Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel in 1995, The Centralia Chronicle reported. Though she left after a couple of years, she returned in 2002 and has been there ever since.

“When the opportunity arose it was an easy decision to return,” Miles told the paper.

Miles succeeds John Setterstrom, who left the casino in February. She served as interim CEO until her permanent selection.

The tribe debuted a $46 million expansion of the casino last month, which marked its 22nd anniversary. The project included a larger gaming floor and four new restaurants, according to the Chehalis tribal newsletter.
