Eastern Cherokees start work on entertainment center at second gaming facility

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians continues to expand the amenities at its gaming operation in North Carolina

The tribe debuted the UltraStar Multi-Tainment Center at the Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort over the Labor Day weekend. The 53,000-square-foot facility features a bowling alley with 24 lanes, an arcade, a restaurant and bar and an event stage.

A second UltraStar is now under construction at the Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino and Hotel, The Cherokee One Feather reported. It will be smaller in size but will still feature bowling lanes, a restaurant and an arcade, the paper said.

The new center is expected to open in June 2018, the paper reported.
