Shoshone-Bannock Tribes report arrests of fugitives at casino

Three men who fled Montana after allegedly shooting at a law enforcement officer were arrested at the casino owned by the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes in neighboring Idaho.

Kolby Schmidt, Shannon Marengo and Michael Holloway were arrested at the Fort Hall Casino on Wednesday, according to the Idaho State Police. They are facing numerous drug and weapons charges and are being held in Bingham County.

The suspects also remain under investigation for the shooting in Montana. It occurred on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's deputy who was the target of the shooting was not injured.

From the location of the shooting, the suspects would have driven about 300 miles south to get to the tribal casino in Idaho.
