Kiowa/Delaware artist Parker Boyiddle dies at 60

Parker Boyiddle, a Kiowa/Delaware artist and sculptor, died on Tuesday. He was 60.

Boyiddle was in Idaho working on a sculpture when he died. He was originally from Oklahoma and had been living in Colorado for several years.

Some of his works are on display in Oklahoma and Colorado. The Kiowa Tribe commissioned one of his more well-known pieces to hang in the tribal museum.

Boyiddle was a graduate of the Institute of American Indian Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Parker Boyiddle Scholarship Fund at the tribal college.
