USET in Washington for annual Impact Week meeting

Tribal leaders from Maine to Florida are in Washington, D.C., for the United South and Eastern Tribe's annual Impact Week meeting.

Federal officials and members of Congress are expected to address attendees on gaming, health, education, housing and other issues during the four-day event [Agenda]. Time is reserved for tribal leaders to make visits to Capitol Hill and to the White House.

The meeting takes place at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Virginia, from Monday through Thursday. The annual USET reception and dance is held hursday night.

USET represents 24 federally recognized tribes from Maine to Florida to Texas. The organization is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee.
