Navajo Nation seeks emergency plans
The Navajo Nation Department of Emergency Management is urging all tribal chapters to develop emergency response plans.

Jimson Joe, the program manager at the department, said few communities are prepared to respond to potential disasters. The threats include fires, floods and bio-terrorism, he said.

Joe hopes the chapters can develop plans, in Navajo and English, over the next five years.
