Village boy, 12, charged with murder of brother

A 12-year-old boy from the Yup'ik Eskimo village of Marshall was charged with first-degree murder on Monday.

The boy is accused of intentionally killing his younger brother. James Buster, 11, died of gunshot wounds after an incident at the family's salmon fish camp on Friday.

Emilda Buster, the boys' aunt, said the shooting was accidental. She said the family doesn't know why the state charged the 12-year-old with murder.
