The 18-year-old boyfriend of a Lakota woman who was killed in Oklahoma has been charged with first-degree murder.
Enrique Pacheco is accused of stabbing Shelliegh Poorbear, 18, to death on Monday. Pacheco and Poorbear had a 10-month-old son together and Poorbear told police of being abused by Pacheco.
Poorbear was Oglala Sioux from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. She was the adopted daughter of Lisa Tiger, a Muscogee woman.
