The Tolai Tribe in Papua New Guinea apologized to the Fijian government for killing and cannibalizing missionaries in 1878.
The four missionaries went to the island of New Britain to spread Christianity. They were killed and eaten on the orders of a tribal chief.
Thousands attended a reconciliation ceremony as Tolai leaders apologized to a delegation from Fiji.
