The Yakama Nation of Washington met with a cement plant on Tuesday but neither side would say how talks went.
The tribe says Central Pre-Mix is mining gravel without a permit. But the company says the tribe doesn't have jurisdiction.
The tribe could fine the cement plant. "We're still working on a few things" is all the tribe's water administrator would tell The Yakima Herald-Republic.
Central Pre-Mix is Yakama County's largest cement manufacturer.
