Native chief's remains returned home after 120 years

Chief One Arrow, a Cree leader from Saskatchewan, will be reburied on his home reserve after more than 120 years.

One Arrow participated in the Riel Rebellion of 1885. He was convicted of treason for fighting for Native rights and died in prison in Manitoba in 1897.

One Arrow's body is now being exhumed for reburial. The words, "Do not mistreat my people," are inscribed on his tombstone.

The reburial takes place on the One Arrow Cree Nation next Tuesday.
