Report examines climate change and tribes

University of Colorado at Boulder law professors and scientists released a report that warns of drastic effects on tribal communities due to climate change.

"Native Communities and Climate Change, Protecting Tribal Resources as Part of National Climate Policy" says tribes from Florida to Alaska will be hit hard by rising sea levels, dwindling water supplies and other changes. Alaska is already feeling negative effects, according to the authors.

The report is being sent to members of Congress. Study authors urged lawmakers to help tribes respond to the threat.
