Assiniboine student loses discrimination lawsuit

A member of the Assiniboine Tribe on the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana lost her discrimination lawsuit against Montana State University.

Bonnie Hohman sued MSU and its Nursing College in 2005. She said she was failed out of the nursing program because she is Indian.

A jury disagreed. School officials said Hohman failed her medical courses and exams.

Hohman didn't graduate from MSU and has since enrolled at Salish Kootenai College, a tribal college on the Flathead Reservation.
