Tesuque Pueblo starts food sovereignty conference

Tesuque Pueblo in New Mexico is hosting a Food and Seed Sovereignty on October 12-13.

The conference is part of the tribe's effort to create sustainable agriculture. The tribe has started a community field with the goal of providing enough food to feed all 600 members by 2008.

The tribe is being assisted by a local company called Seeds of Change, which was founded by a Native farmer from Bolivia.
