Oklahoma tribes affected by winter storms

Tribes in northeastern Oklahoma are among those affected by severe winter storms.

The Osage Nation put up a day shelter and lost power to most of the reservation, Chief Jim Gray said. The tribe is delivering meals, blankets, water, groceries and firewood to those in need.

The Muscogee Nation has opened temporary shelters throughout the area and has offered hot meals and cots at its center in Tulsa. The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe is lending out generators to people and opened its fire station to people who lost power.
