Native woman recalls struggle against meth

After getting hooked on methamphetamine in Montana, Karen Hilleary tried to commit suicide. Now she's in recovery and taking things one day at a time.

Hilleary, 39, who is Aleut and Haida from Alaska, started using meth in the fall of 2005. After her second suicide attempt in May 2005, she decided to go into treatment and put her life back together.

Hilleary is happy again and she's lost a lot of the weight she gained when she was using. She was able to move into her own apartment and is trying to reconnect with her two children.
