The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians cut the ribbon for the new tribal new health center in Fulton, Michigan, on Tuesday.

The 6,000-square-foot facility offers mental and physical health treatment rooms, a fitness center and a demonstration kitchen. The $1.1 million center will emphasize prevention and treatment of heart disease and diabetes.

The tribe began offering services at the facility in December 2007. The tribe has about 400 members.
