Soo Tribe chairman says he is target of removal
Aaron Payment, the chairman of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians in Michigan, said he is being targeted for removal.

The tribe's board of directors met for a meeting and discussed removing Payment. He said he would be ineligible to run for re-election later this year if he is ousted from office.

Payment was recently removed from the board of directors of the tribe's casino in Detroit. He allegedly missed too many meetings.
