Navajo man honored for work at Shiprock Chapter

After just 11 months on the job, Donald Benally was named chapter vice president of the year for serving the Shiprock Chapter of the Navajo Nation.

Benally was elected to the position last February following the resignation of GloJean Todacheene, who left to join the Navajo Nation Council. Since then, he's been busy working on funding, water, governance and other issues.

Benally has one year left in his term. The chapter, located in northwestern New Mexico, has three elected officials.
