Urban Indian center in Wisconsin shuts down

The United Amerindian Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, has shut down due to lack of funds.

The center lost a $2 million contract from the Indian Health Services last year. A donation from the Oneida Nation kept the doors open for several months.

Director Stephen Crowe Jr. said he's waiting on potential funding from the Oneidas and a Connecticut tribe.

The center provided health screenings, drug and alcohol counseling, help for elders, transportation for those in need and computers for those seeking a job.
