Obama and McCain win primaries in Wisconsin


Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois) and Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) racked up more victories in Wisconsin on Tuesday.

Obama won his ninth primary in a row. He had 58 percent of the vote, compared to 41 percent for Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-New York).

McCain, a former two-term chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, reassured his hold on the Republican nomination. He defeated former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee by 22 points in Wisconsin.

For Democrats, the next major contests are in Ohio and Texas on March 4. For Republicans, the next votes are in Ohio, Texas, Vermont and Rhode Island on March 4.
