After years of delays and lobbying of Congress, the Coquille Tribe of Oregon has lost its Home Depot project.
The Coquille Economic Development Corporation announced yesterday that Home Depot withdrew from an agreement to build a store in North Bend. The tribe had to receive Congressional approval to lease the land for the development.
CEDCO CEO Brady Scott says the issue Home Depot cited for withdrawing could be addressed easily. The reason was not publicly disclosed.
Congress passed H.R.2683 last fall and it was signed into law by President Bush.
