TheNavajo Nation has signed a partnership with Citizens Energy Corp. to develop wind energy on the reservation.
The tribe hopes to develop several sites and market power to neighboring communities.
Phase one, which would include a 200-megawatt plant, is set to be complete by 2012.
The eventual goal is to develop more than 500 megawatts of wind energy.
