Native man killed, another hospitalized in attacks

Police in Mesa, Arizona, have arrested a suspect in two knife attacks at a local mall that left one Native man dead and another Native man hospitalized.

Bernard E. Allen, 25, allegedly stabbed Issura Jackson, 31, on Monday. Jackson later died.

On Sunday, Allen allegedly stabbed Lathaniel Clinton Brown, 22, who is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Since both victims were Native American, police say the attacks may have been race-related.
