House Appropriations hearings on IHS, BIA and OST

The House Interior Appropriations subcommittee will be hearing from the Indian Health Service, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Office of Special Trustee this week.

Bob McSwain, the acting director of IHS, is testifying today about his agency's fiscal year 2009 budget. The hearing takes place at 10am in Room B-308 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

Assistant secretary Carl Artman and Special Trustee Ross Swimmer will talk about their budgets on Wednesday. The hearing, which was previously scheduled for March 5, starts at 10:30am.
