Man accused of Indian Country assaults arrested

An Oklahoma man accused of assaulting two girls on Cherokee Nation land was arrested in Dallas, Texas, last month.

Kimberly Chancellor was charged in federal court in Oklahoma on February 6. He fled from authorities until they caught up with him in Texas, where his arrest was broadcast on YouTube.

Chancellor is accused of forcibly raping a child who was younger than 12 and of using force while attempting to sexually assault two children. The Cherokee Nation Marshal Service and the FBI were in charge of the investigation.
